Non-toxic interior primer for cabinetry and most millwork

AFM Safecoat EcoLacq Sandable Primer provides good adhesion to freshly sanded wood surfaces. It was specially formulated for AFM Ecolacq paint because the normal primers build too much and don't sand as easily. Always test for adhesion with a small sample first.

NOTE: This primer should not be used over wood with tannins that will bleed through such as cedar, pine, or other oily woods.

This product is non-toxic and made with no formaldehyde or other hazardous air pollutants. VOC content is 10 g/l. It has a very low odor when wet and virtually none when dry.

This product is sandable and recoatable after 4-6 hours, however, the product will continue to cure and become harder over the next few weeks. Dry times vary depending upon temperature and humidity.

Apply with brush or spray per manufacturer's instructions. Do not apply when indoor temperatures drop below 55 degrees F. Do not freeze.

Why We Like It

AFM Safecoat created this product to work perfectly with their EcoLacq paint over unfinished wooden surfaces. It bonds very well, dries fast, and does not pollute the environment.
