Kahrs Avanti Canvas series is a one-strip hardwood oak floor that comes in upscale colors with slightly grey overtones with occasional knots finished in a very matte sheen. The easy, DIY, Woodloc 5G interlocking system makes installation a snap, saving you time and money.
Avanti Canvas is constructed using the Kahrs patented parquet multi-layer technology, with three separate layers and a total thickness of approximately 1/2” (13mm). The surface layer is approximately 1/8” (3.5mm) thick, which can be sanded two times, allowing several generations to enjoy this beautiful floor.
The Kahrs Avanti Collection is made to the highest standards of health, which exceed both California CARB2 and European standards for toxic emissions in both adhesives and finishes. The formaldehyde emissions test shows .008ppm. All Kahrs hardwood products use materials from sustainable sources certified either by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or EMAS (European Eco-Management Audit Scheme) in Europe. They are all US Lacey Act compliant, and their raw materials are sourced within 200km of the Kahrs factory.
NOTE: This floor should NOT be Steam Mopped. Steam Mopping may damage this floor.

Why We Like It
This is a sophisticated, urban-looking product, as compared to their rustic or rugged products. It's so matte you'll swear it has an oiled finish, but it doesn't. If you want the look of oil, but with a traditional UV cured acrylic finish, then this is for you. Very clean-looking one-strip product like the Spirit collection, but without any HDF core. It's the best sustainable DIY flooring, at a reasonable price.
