Premium-quality hardwood flooring made from maple, cherry and walnut
The Kahrs Original Series offers sustainable hardwood floors engineered to be perfect, beautiful and easy to install. Each wide plank is constructed using the Kahrs patented multi-layer parquet technology with three separate layers of real wood for a total thickness of 5/8” (15 mm). The surface layer is 1/8” (3.5 mm) thick; this allows Kahrs Original floors to be sanded two to three times — and allows several generations to enjoy this beautiful floor.
NOTE: This floor should NOT be Steam Mopped. Steam Mopping may damage this floor.
The hardwoods in the American Naturals Collection include American walnut, American cherry, and Canadian maple. This collection is designed in different combinations of surface treatment, finish and design pattern to give beautiful options for your home or office.
The Kahrs Original Series, like all Kahrs flooring, is made to the highest standards of health which exceed both California CARB2 and European standards for toxic emissions in adhesives and finishes. All of Kahrs hardwood products use materials from sustainable sources certified either by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or EMAS (European Eco-Management Audit Scheme) in Europe. They are all US Lacey Act compliant, and 88% of their raw materials are sourced within 200 km of the Kahrs factory in Sweden.

Why We Like It
Kahrs is our favorite hardwood floor for all the right reasons. Since 1857 this company has earned its stripes by inventing the engineered floor and has continually raised the bar on environmental standards, quality, design and performance. Once you install a Kahrs floor, you'll agree these floors are perfectly engineered, beautiful, stable and environmentally pure.
Kahrs is also our first choice for use over radiant heat because it was designed specifically for that purpose in Sweden. It doesn't gap, buckle or warp. Just to give you an idea of its stability, two of our customers had flooded homes with Kahrs flooring and, after two weeks time and lots of ventilation, the flooring returned to its original form. These difficult experiences tell you a lot about how a floor is made and why we would not settle for anything less.
