Non-toxic roofing, chimney and flashing sealant
NovaLink FP (formerly known as BARR Flash and Patch) is a non-toxic, moisture-cured, elastomeric caulk/sealant designed specifically to waterproof and repair all types of residential and commercial roofing. Elastomeric means it will stretch and shrink with the seasons. Flash and Patch performs well on chimney seals, asphalt shingles, roof valleys, seams and flashing.
This liquid rubber comes in a black gloss and is able to work in cold conditions as low as 40 °F, as well as in wet conditions; this makes it great for temporary emergency repairs. NovaLink FP will not degrade from exposure to sunlight.
NOTE: We recommend using this product within 6 months of the date of purchase.
NOTE: This caulk will not bond to HDPE plastics.
NovaLink FP applies as black and dries to a black gloss.
NOTE: ChemLink products do not adhere to polyethylene or polypropylene (recycled plastics)
Why We Like It
NovaLink FP (formerly known as BARR Flash and Patch) will last a very long time without cracking or shrinking and it won't smell like solvent or petroleum-based products. When you have serious roofing problems, being able to apply this type of material in cold wet conditions is a big plus.
