Non-toxic adhesive for cork and vinyl
Taylor Resolute is a multi-purpose elastomeric adhesive for resilient flooring that is safe and will not off-gas hazardous air pollutants. It has been certified by GreenGuard, FloorScore and CRI+. It is also Red List Free which verifies there are no hazardous chemicals including formaldehyde, solvents or isocyanates. VOC content is .1 g/l and is ultra low odor.
This simple 1-part moisture-cured adhesive is fast curing and has a strong early grab. It provides a waterproof bond that is ideal for subfloors that might get wet because it creates an unlimited moisture vapor barrier and provides protection against topical liquids, too.
Designed for heavy rolling loads and challenging environments, Resolute can be used UNDER cork flooring and underlayment, linoleum, artificial turf, LVT, LVP, rubber, crumb, tile and sheet, WPC/WSC, vinyl (all types), VCT, VET, stair treads (vinyl and rubber) and more.
NOTE: this is not meant for wood or bamboo flooring. There are other products for that purpose, such as Taylor Ironwood.
Resolute may be used OVER approved subfloors including plywood and OSB, particleboard, cement backerboard, concrete and radiant heated subfloors that do not exceed 85° F, vinyl, rubber, fiberglass and polyolefin backed flooring.
NOTE: this product must be applied over a porous substrate to create good adhesion and provide proper moisture protection. If power troweled or sealed concrete, use a diamond brush head buffing pad to open the pores before applying this adhesive. Do not use acids.
Resolute is capable of controlling concrete substrate moisture vapor with no relative humidity (RH), pH or moisture vapor emissions rate (MVER) testing required. Substrates shall be properly prepared per ASTM F710, have no visible or standing moisture and be without hydrostatic pressure. When used as a concrete moisture vapor barrier, the substrate must also be properly prepared and porous per ASTM F3191. The installation must be performed following both the flooring manufacturer’s and Taylor’s guidelines.
For Amorim Wicanders WISE Waterproof Cork glue down installation, use 1/16x 1/16x 1/16 square notch trowel (150-250 per 2 gallon pail). It has a shelf life of one year. See installation guidelines.
