Wakol Cork Flooring adhesive bonds immediately to a clean, dry, flat surface without shrinkage. It is designed for most porous or non-porous surfaces. For floors, it can be applied over concrete or smooth-sided plywood subfloors, permanently adhered, non-cushioned, or existing floor coverings. For walls, it can be applied to primed/painted drywall or concrete walls. Not for use over wallpaper. For other types of surfaces, please test first.

NOTE: This product was specifically made for cork tiles; please do not try to use this to glue down other flooring as we offer other specialty adhesives for hardwood, bamboo, linoleum, and carpet.

Certified safe Wakol Cork Adhesive is non-toxic with ultra low odor. It is solvent-free water-based and made without formaldehyde, isocyanates, or other hazardous air pollutants. It is certified by FloorScore, the German Dangerous Substance Information Code (GISCODE D1), and its ultra-low emission rate is certified by the European EMICODE EC1 Plus which is the highest class rating i.e. it meets the strictest standards for indoor air quality. It also qualifies for LEED Credit EQ 4.1.

Tools Wakol adhesive can be applied with a low nap or short-haired roller (3/8" or less) made of nylon, polyester, mohair or microfiber. It is also useful to have a rubber mallet and J roller to press the tile into the adhesive. Chalk line, straight edge, marking pencil, and tape measure are also required.

Coverage and dry time This product should be applied on both surfaces: back of the tile and top of the floor or wall. 1 gallon covers 180 square feet on both surfaces. Shelf life is 12 months in unopened container at room temperature. Dry time depends on climate conditions and the absorbency of substrates. The adhesive has a high initial strength and once properly rolled requires no additional effort to adhere. Please follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines for complete instructions.
